His passion for TCM began during his undergraduate studies in biology, where he became fascinated by the body's innate healing abilities and the elegant wisdom of Chinese medicine.

Treat the Whole Person
TCM recognizes that physical symptoms are often connected to emotional, mental, and spiritual factors. Dr. Huang addresses all aspects of health, not just isolated symptoms.
Find the Root Cause
Rather than merely suppressing symptoms, treatment focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying imbalances that create disease. This approach leads to lasting results.
Personalized Care
No two patients are alike. Each treatment plan is carefully customized based on your unique constitution, health history, and current condition.
Patient Education
Understanding your body and condition empowers you to take an active role in your healing. Dr. Huang takes time to explain your diagnosis and treatment in clear, accessible terms.
Integration with Western Medicine
TCM can work beautifully alongside conventional medical care. Dr. Huang collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated treatment.
Prevention & Wellness
The best medicine prevents illness before it occurs. Treatment includes guidance on diet, lifestyle, and self-care practices to maintain long-term health.
My Journey to Chinese Medicine
My path to Traditional Chinese Medicine began with a personal health challenge. As a biology student at Cornell, I suffered from chronic migraines that conventional medicine couldn't fully resolve. A friend suggested I try acupuncture, and after just a few treatments, my migraines improved dramatically. I was amazed - not just by the relief, but by the holistic approach that considered my stress levels, sleep patterns, and diet alongside the physical symptoms.
This experience sparked a deep curiosity about TCM. I began studying the theories, philosophy, and diagnostic methods during my remaining undergraduate years. After graduation, instead of pursuing medical school as originally planned, I enrolled in a Master's program in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Those years of intensive study were transformative. I learned pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, acupuncture techniques, herbal pharmacology, and the intricate theories that have guided Chinese medicine for thousands of years. But more importantly, I learned to see patients as whole human beings, not just collections of symptoms.
After earning my master's degree and passing national board certifications, I began my clinical practice. Each patient has taught me something new, and after 15 years, I remain passionate about this medicine's ability to help people heal naturally. Opening Dr. Huang Clinic in Middletown has allowed me to serve this wonderful community and share the benefits of TCM with my neighbors.
